On March 4, 1939, my mother arrived by ship from Europe at Pier 5 in San Francisco. I composed a work to celebrate the anniversary of her arrival, given its first performance on March 4, 2026 at the Berkeley Piano Club with Ellen St. Thomas, soprano, Wendy Clymer, viola, Nancy Bachmann, piano and myself on cello.

In 2023, I received an Music Grant Program award to write a work for sfSound, that was performed with Hope Mohr Dance (Belinda He and Teagan Schwab-Alavi, dancers) at the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art. Here is the 4th movement of “migrations”
